1st Quarter Employment Data

Bureau of Labor StatisticsToday marks the first Friday of April which means the Bureau of Labor Statistics released their employment statistics. The data Included today is for the month of March, 2014, as well as the 1st quarter, 2014.


Construction Industry to Hire 100k Vets

U.S. Department of LaborConstruction industry pledges to hire more than 100,000 veterans in announcement with Joining Forces and US Labor Department

WASHINGTON – In an announcement today at A National Symposium: Veterans’ Employment in Construction, hosted by the U.S. Department of Labor and Joining Forces, First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez celebrated a broad coalition of construction employers and associations that have collectively pledged to hire 100,000 veterans over the next five years.


March 2013 Veteran Unemployment Stats

U.S. Department of Veterans AffairsToday is the first Friday of the month ... meaning the monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics data has been released.  Attached is our monthly 'cheat sheet' for your information/use.  Veteran unemployment rate remained lower than the non-veteran unemployment rate for the 10th consecutive month.


Persistent high veteran unemployment shows signs of improvement

February Unemployment Data for Veterans Little Changed

The TAP training is mandated by the under the Veterans Opportunity to Work Act.The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the February 2013 data on unemployment among military veterans March 8. The overall unemployment rate dropped significantly from January, 7.6 percent to 6.9 percent. The February rate was little changed from the February 2012 rate of 7 percent.
