$36M In Grants To Help Homeless Vets
$36M in job-training grants to help 12,000 homeless veterans awarded by US Labor Department WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez today announced grants totaling $36,710,368 awarded to 156 organizations nationwide to provide more than 12,000 veterans with training to help them succeed in civilian careers.
Metro Calls All LA County Veterans
Since April 2012, Metro has led a successful Veteran’s Hiring Initiative with a goal that 12% of new hires be veterans.
