This free workshop is open to any veteran in need of help with:

  • Tickets for minor offenses (infractions) such as jaywalking, running a stop sign, etc.
  • Failure to Appear charges & warrants stemming from tickets.
  • We are unable to assist with parking tickets.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 19th, 2015

5:30pm – 6:30pm: Self-Help Workshop
6:30pm – 8:30pm: Volunteer attorneys will be available to provide one-on-one assistance and consultation. You must attend the workshop in order to receive one-on-one assistance.

Cleaning criminal records

This free workshop is open to any veteran in need of help with:

  • Information regarding what convictions can be expunged
  • The criteria to qualify for expungement
  • Forms need to be completed
  • Where to file for expungement

We are unable to assist with Federal convictions, or, convictions outside of the State of California. Information regarding what convictions can be expunged

Clearing outstanding tickets and warrants

  • Driver License (or Driver License number)
  • Original Citations (the ticket you received)
  • Any notices or letters from the courts, the DMV, or “GC Services”
    • “GC Services” is a collection agency. Past due fines are sent to this agency for collection.

For moving violations also bring (tickets you received while driving)

Superior Court Record

  • Print details of all tickets/citations

Out of State driving record – if you’ve received a ticket outside of California in the last 5 years

  • Check DMV of state in which you received the ticket.

Cleaning criminal records

For best service, please bring a copy of your record from court or your DOJ Rap Sheet if you have it. To obtain court files, go to any criminal court in Los Angeles County, or the county where the conviction occurred and ask the clerk’s office for a complete print-out of all of your criminal convictions.
