This Memorial Day, don’t forget about the veterans for whom this holiday was named. Many vets suffer from homelessness, inadequate health care, unemployment, and mental health issues including PTSD. $36M in job-training grants to help 12,000 homeless veterans awarded by US Labor Department WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez today announced grants totaling $36,710,368 awarded to 156 organizations nationwide to provide more than 12,000 veterans with training to help them succeed in civilian careers.
